29 Jun My house shall be called…
It is clear from God’s perspective that “His house shall be called a house of prayer for all people, all nations”. Isa.56:7, Matt.21:13, Mk.11:17
Of course we know the church is looked upon as the house of God, but I always have people answer the question: Who is the church? , with the answer… I am?
Why do I do that?
Because it is important that we take ownership of our individual role as the temple of the living God. We each represent His church to a lost and dying world and it is vital that we recognize our responsibility to be a people of prayer, those who are in communion with the King, listening to and heeding His voice as we share our hearts with Him. Begin to see yourself as His kingdom representative and approach Him with a holy reverence as we learn to follow Him with all our hearts.
I love this statement from S.D. Gordon on prayer: “The great people of the earth today are the people who pray! I do not mean those who talk about prayer; nor those who say they believe in prayer; nor those who explain prayer; but I mean those who actually take the time to pray. They have not time. It must be taken from something else. That something else is important, very important and pressing, but still, less important and pressing than prayer. There are people who put prayer first, and group the other items in life’s schedule around and after prayer. These are the people today who are doing the most for God in winning souls, in solving problems, in awakening churches, in supplying both men and money for mission posts, in keeping fresh and strong their lives far off in sacrificial service on the foreign field, where the thickest fighting is going on, and in keeping the old earth sweet a little while longer.”
Make sure you are one of those he is speaking of. If not, then commit to God today that you will be one who humbles yourself and prays, seeks His face and turns from your wicked ways so He will heal our land (II Chron.7:14). I believe this is one of the primary markers of Gods’ people in this hour. Remember you are called to pray without ceasing. God bless you in your efforts to obey His word and His will in your life. We are agreeing with you for your Kingdom breakthrough and victory.
CURRENT EVENTS: In this season of pause, lock down, reset, Passover or Crossover, whatever you want to call it we are challenged to put our Faith to work. God has always exhorted us throughout scripture to apply ourselves to His word. He gave us this word as we approached 2019 and I believe it is applicable to our present circumstances. Why? Because I know that regardless of what we are going through God’s design and nature for us is to be victorious in all things and thriving in our relationship with Him at all times. So read and heed what the Lord is saying to His church past, present and future.
Alive to Thrive…This was the emphasis that God gave us for 2019. His primary thrust was that we need to look at what He has already done in, through and for our lives so we can carry on the work He has called each of us to do. He has already anointed us, cleansed us, appointed us, delivered us and directed us through His word and Spirit with more than most of us will ever be able to carry out to the full, but even with that being so, He continues to bring us fresh insight and revelation to help push us along the way of success and victory. He is not into us just surviving in life but His goal is for us to thrive to the fullest. Always note that each time God gives you a word, it isn’t just for the moment but it is meant for you to build upon as He makes you into the vessel He so desires in this hour of faith and promise. So arise oh man or woman of God, and take your place in the Kingdom, yielding to His Spirit and following His lead. Isa.60:1-2
Peace and blessings to you all…..
